The goal is to identify "weakest mode of biomass failure" or "natural fracture points" of biomass for selection of size reduction equipment. Also, the idea is to maximize "threshold of difference" in biomass physical properties that serve as a basis of biomass component separation. A few property examples are shown in links below. Additional biomass physical properties are being determined.
